Police ID DC Man Killed In MD Convenience Store Shooting

New details have been released after a Washington, DC man was found shot to death in a Prince George's County convenience store on Tuesday morning.

Deangelo Washington, 27, has been identified by the Prince George's County Police Department as the man who was gunned down at the High Point Grocery and Tobacco shop on Wheeler Road in Oxon Hill.

At approximately 4:40 a.m. on Tuesday, July 11, officers from the Prince George's County Police Department were called to investigate a shooting in the 4400 block of Wheeler Road in Oxon Hill, officials said. 

According to investigators, upon arrival, officers found Washington suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. It is believed that he was working inside the store at the time of his murder.

He was pronounced dead at the scene.

No information about a shooter or possible motive has been released by the police. 

The incident remains under investigation.
